Mission Landmark

Pay it forward

Landmark employees formed Mission Landmark to give their time and service back to the community, and to help improve the lives of others. What began as an initiative to sponsor one event per quarter has grown into a sustained program of support to organizations providing five categories of care:

Health

  • Semi-annual blood drives for Carter Blood Care routinely exceed goals

  • Annual Sarah’s Cure benefit concerts, silent auctions, and 5K fun runs raise funds for research into classical galactosemia, a rare genetic metabolic disorder

  • Strong participation in the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure raises funds for breast cancer research

Housing

  • Habitat for Humanity projects bring employees together to build homes for area families

  • The annual Landmark Charity Golf Tournament brings together suppliers, partners, and other area firms for some competition and the chance to win a new car, but most importantly much-needed funds for the Lena Pope Home of Tarrant County

Food

  • The annual holiday food drive and raffle raises funds and contributions of food for the Tarrant Area Food Bank

  • Many employees allocate time to make local deliveries to the elderly and homebound for Meals on Wheels

Hope

  • Adopt-a-Family programs help brighten the holidays with gifts and gift cards for families in need

  • Initiatives for the SPCA and other animal rights groups help improve conditions and prospects for abandoned or mistreated pets

Thanks

  • The popular Adopt-a-Platoon program sends letters and care packages to our soldiers serving in Iraq

  • Groups of employees head to area airports for the Greet the Troops program, to welcome and thank our armed forces for their service

These are just a few examples of how employee and company gifts of time and resources serve the community.
