Repurposing the city’s former textile area was required to attract employers to bring high-tech jobs and accompanying retail, restaurant and entertainment options, between downtown and Winthrop University. The City of Rock Hill’s vision for the “Knowledge Park” urban redevelopment plan required an iconic structure at the entrance that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
The project involved complex lighting and architectural requirements. Landmark fabricated custom forms to achieve the unique pedestal and installed complex computer-controlled LED lighting systems and stainless-steel logos.
