"Landmark’s commercial terms were significantly higher than the other respondents however the proposal was one of the best OPG has ever received and was a deciding factor in selecting Landmark." - Chris Chartrand, OPG Project Manager

The OPG Aguasabon Generating Station required replacement of the aging 1940’s surge tank infrastructure located on the penstock that feeds the stations turbines.

The project followed an expedited schedule and faced design and engineering challenges as well as COVID-19. Landmark fully re-designed the structure and construction process to meet the schedule. Our in-house engineering team performed extensive 3D modelling and analyses, as well as created ongoing design modifications.

Operational Highlights:

  • US fabrication capabilities were utilized to meet precise tolerances of heavy steel fabrication.
  • Union requirements for all site trades necessitated shipping of large components.
  • Engineer, Procure and Construct (EPC) project.
